Learn Hypnosis, NLP & Personal Development
I just thought I would bring the subject of hypnosis without eye closure up for discussion.
Hopefully all hypnotists realize that the only reason that the subject closes their eyes is because we ask them to... or that we give them the sleep command and that is what we do when we sleep.
Neither eye closure or the sleep command is necessary to hypnotize someone or to take them into a somnambulistic state.
Realizing that hypnosis is all about automatic reaction to suggestion without the involvement of the intellect, will help you understand this more clearly.
Outside of hypnosis, we will comply with a suggestion as long as we know how to, and there is no reason not to. (Compliance is more assured if a benefit for compliance is involved.)
In a hypnotic trance, we will automatically react to a suggestion, as long as we know how to and there is no reason not to. (Our natural protection will be more apt to allow us to react if there is a benefit involved.)
If the subject has been hypnotized before, and they remember what it felt like, you can actually use those feelings as triggers for a very fast induction...again...all with the eyes open.
Tall talk eh? Well here is an example that you can check out for yourself:
Do you like to experience deep trance? in a moment, you will click on the "Add Reply" button below this posting. When you do..you will notice you can feel that "floaty" feeling like a light trance state, when you feel that, you will notice that you immediately feel that dis-association feeling you get from a medium trance state, when you feel that, you will notice that the bombay doors open...and you drop into that perfect oblivion of deep trance. If that's okay with you, then it all starts when you click this "add reply" button. Then, when you are back... just tell us about how you experienced it when you did it.
Happy Trance :)
Well, I didn't feel "floaty" but I wanted to say that I enjoyed that article!
well, its like the article said... we will if we know how to, and there is no reason not to.
Glad you enjoyed it
