Finding A Lost Object
Use your best induction and deepener and proceed with the following:
In your creative imagination I want you to visualize the object that you have misplaced. See it clearly in your mind - feel it in your hands - notice the shape or texture or anything else appropriate to this item, as though you've found it now and are checking to make sure it is exactly the same as it was when you originally acquired it.
Feel yourself reunited with this article, feeling relieved and happy that you have found it.
And allow your inner mind to travel back through time to before your item was misplaced. You'll be surprised to find how easy and interesting it is to do just this. Just look around and sense or know the time and place that you last remember having it in your possession. And as you mentally retrace your steps you find that simply doing this takes you deeper into hypnosis.
And the deeper into hypnosis you go, the higher your level of awareness becomes, and it's so easy for you to re-experience that chain of events that led to those last few moments of having that object in your possession.
And it is interesting for you to recall or relive the events of that day, step by step, perhaps in slow motion or maybe as a film on fast forward. And you realize that we each have different ways of experiencing a memory. Some of us feel a memory whilst others see - some of us smell or touch or feel what has happened - but each of these sensations leads to a particular memory imprint in our mind.
You can tune into events in your mind, or zoom in with your inner camera to a meaningful time - focusing on the exact scene and activity - allowing it to become bright and vivid as it fills your awareness and becomes a clear picture or impression in your mind.
And in a while, when you awaken, and you leave here - you may be surprised at where your unconscious mind leads you - perhaps retracing those steps once more in a more deliberately unconscious way. But just for now I want you to forget about this whole hypnotic experience and let your mind become occupied once more with some externally unrelated event.
So I will count up to five and we can draw the curtain on what has happened today. Leave the experience behind the curtain until your subconscious mind is ready to venture forth. And I don't know when that will be. Perhaps in an hour or two, or maybe tomorrow - or twenty minutes from now, but I do know that you'll be pleasantly surprised when you remember all that you need to remember.
