Heya gang,

hope you're all having a fun and fulfilling 2009 thus far. I wound down on the holidays a week or so before they wound down on themselves and holed up with my kittycat Maxxx to watch movies for the end of it. I love stories and the archetypes they hold, and that goes for written literature, films, and the stories of our lives. For the last two weeks, ever behind the wave of pop culture as I am, I've been watching four seasons of episodes of the tv show LOST, which is about a group of people who plane wrecked on an island in the South Pacific, and each episode also shows scenes of the characters "back stories", a writing term for the bigger picture of their whole life and earlier experiences...

Last night I was watching mid season 4 and, in an amazingly intricate, lengthy, and complex screenplay, the plot has gotten into metaphysical issues of bi-location and time travel. A crucial piece of metaphorical understanding (theta) about how regression works fell into place for me, when one of the characters, a brilliant physicist who is doing time travel experiments, says, to a person who is non-consensually experiencing time/space bi-location, by way of explaining that the two points in time are basically an equation. When the equation is out of balance or incomplete, there is a need for a mathematical "constant" that exists on BOTH sides of the equation. In the show, the guy did that by contacting his beloved partner/fiancee in both times/locales, and that resolved the problem.

In mental/emotional realities in which regression is needed, I think that there is a similar need in the psychological realities of both times/locales to have the same "constant" of, for instance, forgiveness, or self-care, or understanding, or a different response, or whatever the SM gives the person when they are regressed. That brings the "equation" into balance and resolves the issue!

Thanks for rolling with me while I "spilled" on my insight. What are your thoughts? What associations does it maybe bring up for you? Can you add to what I am seeing? Your thoughts would be very welcome.

all good things,

Heron
