Richard...that sounds perfect! Be careful ...not too much lighting and make sure you don't use freaky or scary music...remember, some people are frightened of hypnosis or the unknown. Keep it light but not circus-like and things will go well. Good luck and remember ...it's YOUR stage ...keep it that way throughout the entire show.

Okay...here's a long list of routines to get ANYBODY started but remember...be creative and make up or add your own twist to the routines...also...use sound effects and props to make your show top notch!

Any Comments?????

Exactly RB. And What I find entertaining (Recreating drug states, Induced emotional states, etc.) may not be entertaining to the audience. I personally cant see myself doing roleplay but physical routines and hallucination seems to interest me more. But once again will they be visual and interesting enough for the audience?

The following is a statement by fellow hypnotist Lewis Dark:

"There are probably only five or six stage hypnosis routines, or rather categories of same. I would elucidate them as: 1) physical routines: limp/cataleptic/staring/frozen/locked hands and induced reflexes such as the rolling hands or compulsive movements (plus the subjects' reactlons to same) 2) Hallucinated sensory input such as your neighbor smells bad, the audience is naked, stuck to chair, repulsed by chair, stuck to loved one 3) roleplay: Elvis, Martian translator, James Bond etc.or group roleplay: marching band, day at the races, lottery winner/loser 4) Induced emotional states such as the laughing gas routine, going to the movies 5) Surreal situations such as the belly-button hunt 6) Posthypnotic compulsive behavior and conscious reactions to same, though the actual posthypnotic activities usually fall under one or more of the previous five categories."
Now, with that in mind...my next post I will list some routines.

Richard ...I remember many years ago I paid a lot of money (unfortunately) for the EKG Induction from from Mr. Ronning and I was not pleased with the fact that it was really just the Elman induction with a twist but anyway...it sounds like you've got it ready to go...I do lots of parties so I might suggest that you make your "points" with the pre-talk but keep it light and fun and by all means ...using the hot/cold skit and perhaps something like having them become a pro piano player will allow you the opportunity to "weed out" anyone who is not truly with you if there is any. I personally choose three skits first that require their eyes to stay closed...and to get them more into it.

THis is similar to Richard B's question I guess. Once under, (aside form hot and cold skits, etc.) what are some good excercises and things to ahve your subjects do?

Hey guys. Does anyone have information on stage hypnosis training in Australia? Not sure who would be worth looking into.

hello Furgaan hope you are well.

i would recomend that if you want to put a group of people into trance in one command then you do it as a reinduction - it is visually stunning .. to say SLEEP and all 20 people on stage do so. But im my oppinion this is best done as a reinduction - the other way is you could get them to all just close their eyes and then you can deepen - but this is not as visually stunning as doing an induction - deepen - post hyp 2 sleep and then say SLEEEP and they all go.

just my oppinion though someone else may know a better way.

Anybody has a suggestion how to hypnotize a group of people at the same time? what kind of induction should be used and how to make it successful?
