So far I have:

A teleseminar appearance for Gwyneth McNeil's WHD online event (you don't have to leave home to be involved)

A 1 hour in studio / on air appearance on the Jordan Rich Radio Show - wbz 1030 AM Boston - www.wbz.com - where we discuss hypnotism and take calls from the listeners.

I will be dropping in at The Self Center in Winchester, MA where Pearlan Feeney-Grater hosts a wonderful open house for WHD

I will be interviewed on Cal Banyan's Hypnosis, Etc. Video Podcast next week to promote WHD

And I'm offering an additional 10 % off to my clients for all my programs at A Better You Hypnosis, Inc

Hey there, I just found out that the City of Philadelphia has approved my request to join and declare Jan 4 as WHD! It was very easy to get this done because of the great resources at www.WorldHypnotismDay.com. I simply used the materials on the WHD site as basis of request to City.

It's getting pretty close to the end of the year, so it may be tricky getting your local govt to recognize this in time before Jan 4. I sent my materials into the City at the very end of October. But folks may still have a chance depending on what your local govt is like.

Congratz my friend on getting your request approved. I sent my in around the same time and haven't heard anything back yet. Columbus is sort of funny about this stuff as I tried last year as well with no success. Either way your success is one for us all. Congratz again!!!

PS. If you (or anyone else out there) is still waiting for approval, remember to take along a digital camera with you when you pick up the declaration. The way the city handled it, I was just supposed to pick up the declaration from the front desk, but I took along my camera and asked if there was a city official who could hand it to me in an "official-looking" event. Easy!

Wow, I feel really small when I read what you guys are doing on WHD. But since I'm just a teen, I am celebrating WHD the day after it during school in my auditorium. My plans: give like a mega long pre-talk with some comedy to make it intresting, hypnotize some people in school, and give them a preview of my new hypnosis show "Like A Circus" that will be in the winter some time at my school.

I wish I was older, just a little bit, enough to make a difference.

Jason, you must be kidding about feeling small? If you are even attempting what you describe, that puts you waaay ahead of the curve. Even ahead of the 95% of "adult" hypnotists who let opptys like WHD come and go without doing squat.

In fact, I would like to propose an alternate WHD Declaration:

"Be It Hereby Resolved
that Any Hypnotist Who Knowingly Ignores WHD
and Fails to Make Use of Its Resources
has Thereby Willfully Relinquished
All Privileges of Complaining
*about "business being slow"
*about "it's too hard to build a hypnosis practice"
*about "why aren't people taking me seriously"
for the Period of One Year.

Non-Participating Hypnotists who use any of these Phrases
Shall Thenceforth Be Known throughout the Land
as Hypno-Whiners,
to be Gently Mocked By the Towns-Folk."

I love that new decleration and I think its time we stop Hypnotists better take advantage of World Hypnotism Day Day. Lol

Seriously Jason Steve is correct. You are already doing more than most adults. World Hypnotism Day is all about spreading awareness of Hypnosis and what you are doing is building interest in hypnotism. Stand tall and proud and look forward to hearing how it all goes!
