Advertising

We enjoy a cooperative relationship with both commercial and non-commercial interests on the site. As business people ourselves, we are pro-business and we like business interests on the site, and our main interest is in keeping everyone happy... We seek to be really chill about it, so yes there are rules, but we're not going crazy in moderating it.

Paid Advertising:

Advertising spots are available, the spots are:

• Banner ad featured in the middle of the front page (featured spot) - 500 x 100
• 5 spots available on the right-hand side of the page, shown on every page of the site. Full size (150 x 400) and Half size (150 x 200) available.
• Footer on every page (bargain spot)

Unpaid Advertising:

Groups:

- Feel free to create groups for your organization
- You may use a commercial URL in your group
- If your group is having to do with your business, then go ahead and post updates or whatever commercial content.
- As long as it doesn't get out of control, you can do what you want with your group.

Events:

- It's OK to post your commercial events in the event section
- No in-your-face ad copy on the events page... Moderator discretion, but basically be subtle with salesmanship here.
- No all capital letters

Photos:

- Photos uploaded to the site show up on the main page
- No explicit photos
- Pictures of you, your friends, or with other hypnotists are fine
- No pictures only of your products, product display pictures, or you holding the products
- OK to post photos on your personal page if they are hosted elsewhere

Videos:
- No explicit videos
- No infomercial type of videos that are only sales presentations

Chat:

- No spamming the chat, keep your promotional announcements to other areas of the site
- It's ok if you mention your product, if you're in conversation, but if in doubt, don't mention it.

Forum:

- Forum is for discussion, to help others, post questions, sharing techniques and information.
- A link or two to your products are permitted, but only within a lot of content.
- No posts in the forum only to promote a new product or website.
- Commercial advertisements in your signature are permitted.
- Signatures may be up to 4 lines long, not including your name.
- No graphic signatures
- If you're not sure, contact us and we'll clarify it

Your Page:

- Do what you want with your own page, no explicit/illegal stuff, but it's your page. Feel free to be as promotional as you want on your own page.
- Feel free to promote stuff on your blog, but not spam excessively, because it shows up on the main page.
-OK to post photos of your products on your personal page if they are hosted elsewhere

Your Blog:

- It's OK to advertise on your blog, but it needs to be 80% content. Please understand that we don't want the main page flooded with advertisements.
- No Junk Articles (you know what we mean)
- No Blatant Sales Copy (we know what it looks like)
