This is a brief video of me dropping students into hypnosis. Although it looks violent at times, I can assure you that I am simply tapping them on the head and shouting sleep! The actual induction was a modified Elman induction for stage but the students were almost all into the "state" before I got a chance to finsish the induction so, I need to get them to the floor...just not enough chairs!

Great Video Rich and I love the action you put behind the inductions. For those of you wondering these inductions are not violent they just look that way as Rich is putting some extra action behind them to amaze the crowd. This is what I call being tranced out. Nice work and can't wait to see more.

I cannot begin to tell you how much this impresses me. Visually it is stunning to see, and it is very clear you are taking the utmost care in regards to your subjects' safety.
2 questions, if I may: What led to this moment, where all these students are evenly lined up almost at "relaxed attention" on stage--how did you prepare them to go under? And secondly, do you have any personal methods to distinguish between responsive and non-responsive volunteers, or did you take all comers?
Wonderful video. I appreciate you sharing it.

Thanks for your comments. I use the exact formula anywhere and everywhere I go. I come out on stage and ALWAYS do a pre-talk ...short and sweet about what hypnosis is and is not. I have a little fun with the audience by doing the "magnetic fingers" and the "light and heavy arms" and then I (depending on what is asked of me by a high school or something) tell my audience that I welcome as many volunteers up on stage that would like to come up. One night we had 74 volunteers and I kept 65! Hard to work well with that many. This particular video shows a high school and I did the same ...invited as many as would like to try it. Had them all stand on stage ...started a little "relaxation" music ....had them close their eyes and listen to the music and my voice ....basically asked them to relax their eyes and the muscles around their necks and then began the instant inductions you are seeing there. So, really, very little preparation ...as most hypnotists will tell you ...when it comes to high school and college students ...they don't need much to go into hypnosis. These students stood in place and where almost ready to drop after the music began. All in all, with the pre-talk to the start of "dropping" the students it took about seven minutes.

Richard: The music I am using is a disc I purchased at the following URL address: http://www.trancescapes.com/
I must say..the disc is great and people always tell me how relaxing the music is...no harsh bells, whistles, or chimes ....I always highly recommend this recording to my fellow hypnotist!

I generally use track one....it works so well for me. Do you have a copy of the disc?
